PawnSac: He moves the queen's knight 5 times in the first 8 moves. 7 of his first 12 are knight moves, 1 with KN the other 6 with QN. After white's 14th he has a 3 piece lead in development, and picks up a pawn on his 15th. Pragg makes 3 more knight moves, giving it up on his 17th. So that's a total of 10 knight moves in his first 17 moves!

Surprisingly, he wins the exchange and then the game! I guess..

True, but they all appear to have a significant purpose. And the sequence to 17...Nf3+ is top class.

Magnus pays for some too loose play. At 14. Rxe5, the rook isn't going to be stable, the LSB isn't well placed and the DSB is hanging. Then gets overly greedy with 15. Rxc5. Putting the R in even a worse position.

Though it was kind of impressive that he almost straightened it out. Not sure if the first exchange sac was absolutely necessary. But black's probably always going to be better afterward. Then leaving the king with 33. Qxb6 might just be a "do or die" attempt at mixing it up versus playing out being noticeably worse.

Back to c5 17.Rc5 b6 18.RxN BxR 19.Qf3 Ra7 20.Re1 was maybe the way to keep the balance of this crazy manover Re1-e5-c5-c4 Carlsen could be afraid of repetition Nd7 Rc4 Ne5 Rc5 I don't know But sure going too far is never good.
Aug-23-22  Cheapo by the Dozen: 3 of the 4 possible exchange sacrifices were made. There's pun potential in that.

I know it's a blitz game, but throwing a rook into the center of a crowded board in the opening seems like a bad idea. The rook will either be lost or black will improve his development while chasing the rook.
