kingscrusher: Wow. This gambit is supposedly +2.3 or more for White. But the advantage got "lost in the post" it seems :)
Nov-08-23  dehanne: Did he report the black player?

tamar: V Pranav is capable of beating anyone on Titled Tuesday. Only guy to defeat Magnus yesterday when Magnus played a dubious King’s Gambit.
Nov-09-23  dehanne: So basically 7.c3 instead and white wins.

sakredkow: The Stafford Gambit is like the Englund Gambit. Virtually a forced win for White but you have to have memorized the lines, which in fact isn't that difficult of a challenge. Also the Englund is a bit more forcing I think.

kingscrusher: <sakredkow> I would check out IM Eric Rosen on Youtube - he seems to win against many strong players with it - and gets to know the deeper traps that are possible. What engines say is one thing - what humans can do in a blitz game is a different story.

I am not saying this is a good opening for one day chess - but for online blitz chess even vs a prepared player, one still has good piece activity and possibilities.
