It wasn't clear for the longest time whether White would escape from perpetual check and even when he had, it wasn't clear to a patzer like me how he'd force the promotion as Black had b8 covered. Very clever!

fredthebear: Good show <goodevans>. Avoiding the perpetual check to force promotion was an interesting challenge for White.
Mar-15-23  Brenin: An entertaining game, with an ingenious denouement.

An Englishman: Good Evening: Took me five poor brain cells a moment to find the denoument--60...Qe5+; 61.Kd7 with *check* and 62.b8/Q next move.

Teyss: Nice one <goodevans>. Was wondering where it was going until 60.Qd8!! Added to Game Collection: King vs King

Another case of "Don't concede a passed Pawn on the flank."

Mar-15-23  Vermit: Still hard to understand 15...Qb8
Mar-15-23  faulty: What about 38... Qd5?
I admit I can't see any way to advance for the white after that
Mar-16-23  nalinw: Great pun and game ....
