Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-01-24  tonsillolith: White's play from moves 19 to 28 is extremely instructive for anyone who wants to know how to switch the positions of their rooks.

Nov-01-24  Everett: Guessing Naka was behind and had to try for a win. Game was dead drawn for a while
Nov-02-24  fabelhaft: Some dead draws are not so dead in 1+0 bullet though, surprising they managed 89 moves before Nakamura finally timed out.

The time control explains some of the moves, for example the 82nd of both players. By then they were down to 4 vs 2 seconds and probably didn’t even look what the opponent just played.

So Carlsen thought the bishop still would be on e7 when he played Kf7 and Nakamura expected the white king still would be on g6 when he didn’t just take the pawn on f5.

The engines consider it a very well played game for over 70 moves, but in non increment 1+0 bullet it all tends to get ridiculous at the end in the longest games.
