FSR: Tadic was the first person in the database to play 10...Qxd7! rather than blundering with the extremely natural 10...Bxd7? Opening Explorer. The subtle point is that 10...Bxd7? leaves the bishop unprotected and thus allows 11.Bxd6 Qxd6 12.dxc5 Qxc5 13.Bxh7+! Kxh7 14.Qh5+ Kg8 15.Ne4! with a big advantage. With the bishop safely at home on c8, Black has the defense 15...g6!, when 16.Qg5 Qe7 17.Nf6+ Kg7! 18.Nh5+ Kg8! or 18...Kh7! only allows perpetual check. With the bishop on d7, 15...g6 allows 16.Nxc5 gxh5 17.Nxd7 Rfd8 18.Nf6+ Kf8 19.Nxh5.

FSR: Eric Prie had introduced the trap three years before in E Prie vs D Svetushkin, 2009 - although it is still complicated and he only drew that game.
