Sally Simpson: I submitted this one this morning after seeing it on Britbase, I thought I'd share. (thank you C.G.) Good game, a Queen sac to warm the cockles and Black is forced into a Knight fork to give the Queen back.

  Stonehenge: The stupid engine finds 25...Rg6! 26.Qxg7+ Qxg7 27.Bxg7 fxg4 28.Bxg4 Rxg7 and Black has a small advantage.

Sally Simpson: Ah so there is something.

During the game I flicked back and looked briefly at 25...fxg4 as a possible try. Never saw 26...Rg6.

I was sniffing about that page at Britbase because this game J Silverman vs Eliskases, 1937 is in 'Memorable Games of British Chess' by Neil Hickman and it is such a bad blunder for a player like Eliskases did he already have the tournament won and was in a totally relaxed mode. No, there were another four rounds after that one.

On that page John mentions this threads game was good. I looked at it and here we are.
