Dec-20-06  ArmeniaNL: Andriasian is doing good job in Astana, he is playing against IM Anuar Ismagambetov and the current score is 1,5:0,5, go ahead and come to the top of the FIDE list !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jan-22-07  ARMENIA: go ahead and check out the Armenian Chess Championships... Zaven is really beating up on the veterans and the way he plays I don't think Aronian is going to be alone on the top lists of Armenia and the world...

Congratulations!
Aug-27-07  Mameluk: http://www.chessarbiter.to.pl/turni... Sorry. He did not.
Oct-11-07  Davolni: I wonder where Zaven Andriasyan is??

How come he is not playing in the youth tournament? does anybody know?

Oct-11-07  adair10: He will be playing in Essent in a couple of days.

http://www.essentchess.nl/info_eng....

Oct-11-07  Davolni: <adair10> wow,
what the hell is going to be doing over there??? ;)

It's not his class, look at the rating differences. I wonder why is he playing in Essent other than Junior tournament....

Oct-11-07  Prugno: The winner of the previous year's World Junior Championship always gets invited to Essent. In the past years Sutovsky, Sadvakasov, Galkin, Acs, Bruzon, Aronian, Mamedyarov and Harikrishna have all played there for this reason.
Oct-12-07  pawnofdoom: I bet Andriasian will be able to pull off a great performance at Essent. He will finally get a chance to play against the top guys. Despite the fact that he is over 130 points lower than the closest guy to him, I think he still has a chance. Van Wely hasn't been in perfect form lately, and Andriasian might have chances of scoring against Pono and Mamedyarov.
Oct-16-07  pawnofdoom: <pawnofdoom> Pretty pointless replying to my own comment, but I have to admit that I was really wrong. Half the tournament (3 rounds) has passed and Zaven has lost all the games so far. Best he can do is 50% and thats pretty impossibly against such a high opposition. Hopefully he won't do has bad as Sokolov did last year (0.5/6)
