Jul-04-07  Eatman: What kind of hardware was micro-Max running at the 15th computer WCH? seems like its search depth was not up to par
Jul-04-07  m00natic: look http://home.hccnet.nl/h.g.muller/ma...

this thingy is not meant for wining, it's guinness minimalistic %)

Jul-04-07  refutor: <m00natic> that's fabulous...a chess engine written in less than 2000 characters of source code
Jul-04-07  Assassinater: That is actually beautiful that someone can write a program with only 2000 charcters of source code and incorporate not only all of the chess rules, but also an AI that I suspect could kick most player's butts. Even though the code itself is way above my head, it's very impressive.
Jul-17-07  scholes: micromax is rated <2002 elo> at ccrl rating list with 1961 characters of code
Jul-17-07  m00natic: YEAAAAH this is what the author wanted, ELO exceeding the number of code characters!
Jul-17-07  argishti: hahaha
Nov-02-07  whiteshark: <m00natic> great link!

If I only could understand a single line :(

If he would double the characters, does it mean he could pass <4000 elo> ? :D

Feb-14-09  WhiteRook48: this guy lost all his games!!
Jan-01-10  mysql: The code is difficult to read. Especially if each variable is represented by only one letter. :o)
Jan-01-10  lentil: From the website: http://home.hccnet.nl/h.g.muller/ma... “…[A] close-to-minimal version that … [understands]… full FIDE rules including under-promotion … measures 1433 characters.” A truly remarkable achievement!
