Jan-16-09  WhiteRook48: gets Routed in the last game... interesting.
May-16-09  pinoymaster77: On the distaff side for Phils, after 4rounds Cheradee has 2 pts along with Aices and Perena. Cua has 2.5 pts.

Ive noted Daisy Rivera didnt make it, and its Mikee Suede's baptism of fire in the intl stage, this is good exposure for her.

We hope our ladies continue to get good intl exposures.

May-19-09  pinoymaster77: Nice win tonite, now with 3 pts together with Sherily Cua, ituloy lang intl exposures
May-21-09  pinoymaster77: Great keep it up With the 3 wins, back in the hunt with 5 pts. Just maximize the last 2 rounds to make it.
May-22-09  pinoymaster77: Nice milestone. As per chessphi, the norm for WIM was achieved! I hope it becomes official!!
Sep-25-10  whiteshark: Chardine Cheradee Camacho is one of the top female young chess talents in the Philippines, often qualified as the female version of Wesley So. She had a very successful 2007 and 2008 - a great performance at the U14 group of the 2007 World Youth Chess Championship, a nice 5th place at the 2008 World Youth Chess Championship in Vietnam, and a great play during the Olympiad in Dresden scoring 8,0/10, which brought her a WIM norm.

Sep-27-10  pinoymaster77: Keep it up being the good, solid anchor for Philippine women's team!

Earn that WIM first, or if there's a shot go for the WGM why not? I hope you play more GMs in this tournament. So far, 3 (open) IMs and a WFM played. And will play a Mexican WIM next in rd6.

Sep-27-10  jovan08: Your HOT, Go for it! We Believe in you.
Sep-27-10  pinoymaster77: Wow another walis sweep!! And Cheradee set the tone again being the first to win, then it was like dominoes!

Keep it up ladies!

Oct-03-10  pinoymaster77: Congratulations on the better 44th place finish for the team, and the 6/10 (60%) performance at Board 1!

At last, we have a solid Pinay anchor hopefully for many years to come...

Mar-23-11  Imposter: She's a WIM now.
Jun-16-11  wordfunph: thanks to Bobby Ang for this bit of trivia..

<I remember way back in 2002, when Mr. Suaco wanted to send Cheradee to the ASEAN Youth Championships. Florencio Campomanes did not want to accommodate her even when Rod offered to pay for her bills personally, because Campo did not think she had any chance to win. Rod assured him that she will get a medal to which the reply was "you can kiss my a**!".

Well, Rod spoke to the organizers who agreed to take her in directly without the endorsement of the chess federation. The federation, of course, wanted to sanction her but changed their mind when she came home with the gold medal in the Under-8 section. I remember that Rod called me from the airport, completely elated, and confessed that he now had a problem: "do I really have to bring my a** to Campo?"

Did you know that Chardine had the best score ever for a woman Filipino player (some would say both men and women, but I won’t go into that debate) in the Olympiad? She scored 8/10 in the 2008 Dresden Olympiad and added a whopping 67 points to her ELO rating.>

Jun-17-11  geniokov: <Rod assured him that she will get a medal to which the reply was "you can kiss my a**!".>...Wait until this young girl finnish her studies and get a full time opportunities in Chess!...Did the NCFP notice that if a Chessplayer who are still more than 59% overall record can beat anyone who has a higher rate than her?....Why can´t the NCFP arrange a match between Camacho and Caolli?..Does Camacho have a national trainer or coach?
Jan-20-13  wordfunph: daddy's girl :)

<apparently Cheradee is very attached to her father and resigned one of her games simply because she could not find her dad in the playing hall.>

btw, i personally met Chardine's father in Tagaytay tourney and this story seems right :)

Jan-21-13  geniokov: <btw, i personally met Chardine's father in Tagaytay tourney and this story seems right :)> Her Daddy must always be at her side during tournament like Sir William So,full support is needed para sa future ng bata.Sayang pa naman.

Why doesn't she study real computer science?

Jun-24-14  pinoymaster77: Good move for NCFP to seed WIM Camacho! Was suggesting that noting she's PHI's highest rated player and plays regularly in US tournaments vs Male GMs as well.

Heard yung bata vowed also to return to the Phils after she finishes her US degtee. Not sure yet kung grad na.

We now have the potential to have our STRONGEST Womens Olympiad team in years!

The Viet and Indon WGMs need to be served notice that their 'ASEAN reign' would be challenged soon!

A rousing win by Cheradee Camacho, an endgame triumph by Janelle Mae Frayna, a crisp attacking game from Jodilyn Fronda and a fighting draw by Catherine Perena gave the Philippines women team a 3.5-.5 win over ICCD.

Ignacio Dee Not an easy win as Camacho had to fight and Perena kept her cool in a complex position. 10 hrs · Like · 2

Ramon A. P. Paterno Stockfish analysis: from moves 26 to 43- Cheradee's opponent is winning, ugh!.... then a misstep.... Cheradee is slightly better.... by move 50, Cheradee is winning! ....way to hang in there! Congrats, Chardine Cheradee Camacho, and the rest of the Women's team. Mabuhay! -:)

Aug-06-14  pinoymaster77: Take the licks and REGROUP. TEST of CHARACTER yan bouncing back !

ASEAN neighbor Indonesia sumasabay sa taas, they ambushed Armenia 3.5-0.5 last night, while emergent Asian power Iran beat Slovakia by the same score.

These 2 Asian powers join TOP SEED China and European powerhouses Russia and Hungary in the lead with 8 MPs!

Aug-07-14  pinoymaster77: Posting this here, to reference WGM Sukandar. Official IM title na daw nagawad...

Aug-08-14  epistle: Putak Filipinas!
Aug-09-14  pinoymaster77: Sa Womens, I still think with proper preparations and overseas stints (studies permitting) eh they can still progress.

Aside of course from powerhouse China (they got beat by Russia which was topbilled by their 'new recruit GM Lagno (who beat World Champ Hou) from Ukraine na paid nila agad compensation fee), Indonesia is stronger at 8th, India at 13th, Iran at 14th, Vietnam at 18th.

May familiarity ang Girls team tonight vs the Mongolian ladies, they play in every intl event hosted here in Phils.

Aug-14-14  resty: Yours was a gallant stand, the most difficult task, in fighting for your country's glory in the 2014 Chess Olympiad (Women's). Keep up your head high, we're proud of you!!
