Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-11-14  Karpova: Lizel belonged to the strongest players of St. Petersburg in the 1890s. After many years of absence, Lizel returned to St. Petersburg. He participated in the St. Petersburg 1911 Minor tournament. Sadly, he was struck by a grave destiny and is now completely blind.

Lizel, who had been completely blind for some years, had to withdraw after the 6th round due to health concerns. The games he had played were not counted.
