The photos are great; he holds the biggest cup trophy. For the photos, see the official site <www.cavalliesegugi.com/> Tanti auguri!

That is an interesting description about IM Rolly in scacchierando.net: simpatico! Che sorpresa, ma giusto!

Dec-29-11  timhortons: internet chess club handle <RolMar>.
Feb-15-12  pinoymaster77: Ok, 1 GM norm na earned back in '07. Active naman sa tournaments per his FIDE card, tuloy-tuloy and sali.

May he nail more GM norms this year!

Why not play in the BOGM sa Pinas this year?

Jul-26-12  I Love You: Bakit di ka sumali sa BOGM this year dito sa 'Pinas? Tignan mo si D-max nakakuha at isa na lang, paaabutin nya sa 2500 ang ELO, GM na sya. Sali ka next year. :) don't lose hope. :)

Today a memory of MI Rolly Martinez
Jan-18-14  Prugno: Very sad news :-(
Martinez was a regular competitor in the Italian chess scene over the last 10 years, with excellent results especially in rapid chess (where he was probably GM level).
Jan-20-14  torrefan: It seems very few Filipinos here know this Filipino player who succumbed to the variation called Heart Attack. Hmmm, I wonder if he's really dead. If true, rest in peace kabayan!

Feb-02-14  wordfunph: rest in peace, IM Martinez.

<Even more tragic for us Filipinos was the news that IM Rolly Martinez died of a heart attack in Milan, Italy. He was a regular competitor in the Italian tournament circuit for the last years and had already earned two GM norms. It seemed like only a matter of time before he got the full title. Alas, time was not kind to him.>
