Stonehenge: <This morning, December 30, International Chess Master Evgeny Vodyasov passed away. Since childhood, he suffered from a serious illness, could not move independently, and over the years the illness progressed. Chess became his incentive to live.

Vodyasov is the absolute champion of the Altai Territory in 1996. A multiple winner of the regional championships among the disabled, he became a prize winner of the Russian championships among disabled people several times. He worthily represented Altai chess at international competitions. He participated in the World Chess Olympiads four times as part of the IPCA teams. In 2003, in Poland, he became the world champion among wheelchair users, for this achievement FIDE awarded him the title of International Master.

Evgeny Ivanovich was a very courageous and positive person. An excellent chess player, a true friend - that is how he will remain in our memory. He was 68.>
