 | | Phony Benoni: We have a sighting!
https://books.google.com/books?id=X... If you have trouble accessing this (and mnay of you will), it's the tournament book for New York (1918). On the third page there is a picture of the players and (more importantly) the tournament committee officials. Stading third from the left is <R Raubitschek>, treasurer. The "Brooklyn Daily Eagle", October 10, 1918, specifies this to be <Robert Raubitschek>, and even provides an address: &2 Madison Avenue, Manhattan. (Of course, that may be a business address rather than a personal one.) So if you'd like to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the tournament, you know where to send the money. |
