MissScarlett: The Brooklyn Daily Eagle, 4th August, 1932. p.3: <Mr. and Mrs. John J. Bakerman of 7401 4th Ave. announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Florence Belle Bakerman, to Mark Peckar, son of the Rev. and Mrs. Nanum Peckar of London, England. The Rev. Mr. Peckar is rabbi of Broudesbury [sic] Synagogue, London.

[...]

Mr. Peckar is associated with the New York office of the Banque Belge pour l'Etranger of Brussels. He attended Camden Secondary School, Holloway and University College, London. He served on headquarters staff with the British Expeditionary Forces in Egypt and Salonica during the World War and is a member of the Hempstead club in London and the Brooklyn Chess Club.>

Peckar was one of five players to beat Alekhine in his world-record blindfold display on 26 boards in New York, April 1924 (strangley, none of these losses made it to print), but he lost to Reti in a 15-board blindfold simul the week before (score submitted).
