Aug-18-14  zanzibar: There is another Alexander Ipatov, perhaps better known, who was born in Ukraine and currently plays for Turkey:

Alexander Ipatov (139664)

The 2014 Tromso Olympiad games listed here belong to this other player.

Aug-19-14  cro777: <zanzibar: There is another Alexander Ipatov, perhaps better known, who was born in Ukraine and currently plays for Turkey.> You are quite right.

GM Alexander Ipatov, born 1993 in Lviv (Ukraine), is one of the top chess players in Turkey. He has represented Turkey since February 2012. Before that (since 2009) he represented Spain. In 2012 he became the FIDE World Junior Chess Champion. At the Tromso Olympiad he played 10 games for Turkey (including the aforementioned games in the first two rounds). He also represented Turkey in the 2012 Chess Olympiad in Istanbul.

Aug-19-14  cro777: Alexander Ipatov (Александр Ипатов), born 1994, is a young national candidate master from Izhevsk (Udmurtia Republic, Russia) with FIDE Elo of 2136.

Recently (November 2013), he participated in the championship of his republic, the Udmurtia Republic Championship (Final) in Izhevsk, Russia. In 2013, he also participated in the Polugaevsky Memorial in Samara, Russia and the Moscow Open C.

Two games above are from the 2012 Corporation Centre Cup A in Izhevsk, Russia. As <zanzibar> pointed out, the other two games were played by GM Alexander Ipatov (2614) from Turkey in the first two rounds of the Tromso Olympiad.

Dec-22-15  sonia91: Only the first two games are played by this 2100-rated player, all the other games belogs to former World Junior Champion Alexander Ipatov, who is 2600+ and born in 1993.

This is a pretty serious mistake by cg.com.

Come on, how can a 2100 play in the Qatar Masters?! Or play in the Olympiad (this guy is Russian)?!
