  Retireborn: Hj? I thought Hjartarson was bad enough.

<Retireborn> I guess the "j" must be a vowel, making for a friendly name when pronounced to English people.

"What is your name?"

"Hi"

===============

Here is some scientific proving:

1. Click this link to retrieve search terms: https://www.google.com/search?q=can...

2. Scroll down a bit and click on the drop down button for the question "People also ask: 'Can J be a vowel?'

3. Now read the answer:

<People also ask
Can J be a vowel?

The palatal approximant can often be considered the semivocalic equivalent of the close front unrounded vowel [i].>

This is an interesting answer, given that it was written by Google, and it includes three (3) words that have been flagged by Google's own word check as "incorrectly spelled" or "non-existent":

<approximant>, <semivocalic>, <unrounded>.

This appears to be scientific proving that Google has more than one employee.

  Retireborn: Thank you, <Jess>. Nice try! Well, here's a link which suggests that Hj means Haj, so that Azahari (or possibly her father) is noted for going on pilgrimage.

<Retireborn> Whoa that is really quite something eh? No wonder they have been spending so much time recently in the Bistro figuring out the best method to standardize player name choices.

Good research brah: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malay...

The only thing I might add is that "Haji" was "Johnny Quest's" best friend on the cartoon show <Johnny Quest>...
