MissScarlett: Brooklyn Daily Eagle, 4th October 1928, p.30:

<Albert T. Leise, secretary and tournament director of the Correspondence Chess League of America, died suddenly early Sunday morning to the consternation of a large circle of friends who had been accustomed to visit this keen chess enthusiast, a shut-in since boyhood. His demise was wholly unexpected and was due to a heart attack following a cold which had kept him in bed for three days but was not regarded as in any way alarming.>
