jnpope: In digging around I found a family tree that indicates Junior changed his surname to "Saxon" at some point.

The <Brooklyn Daily Eagle>, 1932.09.29, p24, reports that Charles B. Saxon took over the presidency of the Manhattan Chess Club upon Leonard B. Meyer's resignation. It states that Charles B. Saxon was a former Columbia varsity player.

He was still playing in 1954 and was a participant in a Reshevsky simul given at the Manhattan Chess Club. Also in that simul was a 16-year old William J. Lombardy (<Brooklyn Daily Eagle>, 1954.10.28, p22).
