  MissScarlett: Gloucestershire Echo, 12th February, 1945, p.4:

<Chess players in Cheltenham and in Gloucestershire will regret to learn of the death of Mr. Hans P. Parsbo, former Cheltenham and County Chess Champion, which has occurred after a long illness, at Portmore Lodge, St. George's-road, Cheltenham.

Mr. Parsbo, by birth a Dane, came to England in his youth and became thoroughly Anglicised.

[...]

A chess player of considerable skill, Mr. Parsbo held the championship of Birmingham and Gloucestershire (this for three consecutive years).

[...]

When the famous master Capablanca, world champion, visited Cheltenham in 1919 to play simultaneous games with a number of the best Gloucestershire players, three only of those were unbeaten - Mr. Mr. [sic] Parsbo, Mr. G. V. Bright, the "Echo" photographer, and the late Miss Gooding, all of whom secured a draw. [...]>

<The London Gazette> of April 5th, 1929, states that Parsbo became a naturalised British subject on March 15th.
