Domdaniel: I played Luke Scott recently in a club match, and lost after a blunder. After the game, I was asked why I didn't respond to Luke's draw offer, a few moves before the end.

Why? Because (like Korchnoi against Miles) I simply didn't hear it. Being slightly deaf has drawbacks, but this was the first time that I heard nothing at all.

At the time of his draw offer I may have been slightly better, but I'd probably have taken the draw - if I'd heard.
