MissScarlett: Thanks. Whyld's record of this particular tour is rather sketchy; doesn't even list this simul. Have submitted another of Lasker's losses from it, vs. Draycote, found in the <Hampshire Telegraph>.

MissScarlett: I think it's clear he meant the <Leicester Daily Mercury>, of which the <BNA> has limited coverage - 1908 is excluded.

  Tabanus: Yes, I overlooked Leicester <Daily> Mercury. It says available years 1875-1877, 1879, 1889-1890, 1898, 1911, 1939, 1950.

Do you have a hard copy of this?

Jul-02-21  Nosnibor: The hard copy I hold is held in the minute book of the Leicester Chess Club. Wins were scored by F.Moore, F. Draycott, E.H.Collier, A.C. Garratt, and A.A.Bumpus. Draws were scored by Dr. Mason, Dr.Bennett and H.W.Lawrence. The event was held in the Clifton Room of the Y.M.C.A. (I played in the same room some 50 years later.)
