Simeon Baldwin Chittenden, Jr., Attorney. He was elected President of the Brooklyn Chess Club in October 1902. His father was a congressman and philanthropist who died in 1889. His son, Simeon Baldwin Chittenden III (1879-1951), was an advertising agent who moved to Chicago and eventually to Cleveland. Simeon Baldwin Chittenden III, would be called "Junior" after the death of his grandfather just to make life interesting for future biographers.
