Black played 33...Bd1! (another possibility is 33...Rc2 34.Qxb3 Qxe5) 34.Nxf7+ Kg8 35.Rxe8+ Nxe8 36.Qe7? Re2 and White resigned.

However, White had a saving move e.g. 36.Qe4! and if ...Re2 then 37.Nh6+! Kh8 38.Nf7+ draws or if 37...gxh6 38.Qc4+ and White should not lose i.e. ...Kf8 39.Rxd1 Re1 40.Re1 Qxe1 41.Qf1.

Sep-09-22  phantasmagorium: I suspect Arovah Bachtiar has passed, but cannot find any concrete info.

In http://chess.gunadarma.ac.id/attach...

page 2, right column, second full paragraph, the first two sentences are:

"Target saya mencetak atlet-atlet catur andal seperti Utut Adianto. Dulu Kalimantan kan terkenal dengan atlet caturnya seperti MI Arovah Bachtiar (almarhum) dan GM Ardianyah."

Approximate translation:

"My target is producing strong chessplayers like Utut Adianto. You know, Kalimantan used to be famous with its chessplayers, like the late MI Arovah Bachtiar and GM Ardiansyah."

I have no idea when Arovah passed (if indeed he is no longer with us), but from the above passage, apparently before Ardiansyah (who passed away in late 2017).
