Sep-03-03  AgentRgent: Perhaps this is Duncan McLeod of "Highlander" fame... 95+ years of chess.. perhaps he really is Immortal... ;-)
Jun-20-09  myschkin: . . .

Indeed Mr.Gent:

1992-1998 is a critical period for Duncan. Being the years during which the Series was filmed, they are also the years in which the Series' "present time" is set and thus depict many important events in his life. The pilot episode "The Gathering" shows Duncan returning to <The Game> after a period of semi-retirement with his girlfriend Tessa Noel and a meeting with clansman and mentor Connor MacLeod.

Little is known (and sources are rare), but it is self-evident that he must have been a pupil of the unique Pierre Vigny one of the most innovative masters of L’art de canne.

"The Immortal Encounter" (1992)

Connor MacLeod: You know what your problem is? You live in the past.

Duncan MacLeod: I don't have a problem.

Connor MacLeod: Yes, you do.

Duncan MacLeod: No I don't.

Connor MacLeod: Yes, you do.

Duncan MacLeod: No, I don't. Stop arguing with me.

Connor MacLeod: I'm not arguing.

Duncan MacLeod: You're not?

Connor MacLeod: No, it's conversation.

Duncan MacLeod: Conversation?... Well then, end of conversation.

Connor MacLeod: Oh sure, take the easy way out, like always... Duncan?

Duncan MacLeod: What?

[Connor punches Duncan out]

Connor MacLeod: End of conversation.
