Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-03-10  hstevens129: German professor. Beat Anand in a simul and won German "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?". Not bad.
Apr-10-12  nummerzwei: It's remarkable how the show has dumbed down since Freise won it. Whereas back then only the first four or five questions could be called joke ones, these now quite frequently extend into the five digits.

What follows thereafter is, more often than not, trivia questions, so that answering correctly bespeaks good luck rather than erudition.

The upshot is that one can watch it for a month now without seeing someone actually <go for> the million instead of setting out for a safe, say, 32,000 right from the beginning. It's not as enjoyable as before because of that.

I wonder if the same applies to other international versions of the show, including the original American one.
