Aug-20-13  cro777: GM Mikhail Panarin (2555, rapid 2634) is the winner of the Russian Rapid Chess Championship 2013 (men's section).

The Russian Chess Federation follows FIDE's initiative to run an annual national rapid chess championship for men and women. The first championship took place from 20-23 May 2013 in St. Petersburg.

In men's section four players tied for first with 6.5/9. The tiebreak result placed them as following: Mikhail Panarin, Alexey Dreev, Vladimir Fedoseev and Anton Shomoev. Ernesto Inarkiev who was leading the competition after first five rounds eventually finished with 5.5 points.

Last week he got married to WIM Elizaveta Bronnikova.
