Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-28-07  Tomlinsky: Adgestein is completely destroyed in a Norwegian Lopez here by Pavlovic. Why Adgestein goes in for this variation is completely beyond me given results with it.

Pavlovic misses a mate in one after the abysmal 16...Qd7?? Maybe he was having some fun at his opponents expense.

Jan-21-09  jokerman: the game "pavlovic, milos VS adgestein, simen" is presented on the dvd abc of the ruy lopez by andrew martin. He also does not mention the missed checkmate wich is quite disapointing... Maybe he did it to somehow please the viewer? giving the impression perhaps that even beginners can see a better move then a master... But i wonder if this is the case. Anyhow the game is very intresting, illustrating the point that white should develop quickly due to the loss of time with a6 b5 and Na5. After that white opens lines with a devestating attack. Note the move 13. Ng5! greetings, jokerman
