1. E Diemer vs F Lamb 0-181947corrD00 Queen's Pawn Game

Kibitzer's Corner
May-22-05  soberknight: M Shepherd takes care of F Lamb.
May-06-16  mulde: I don't think, F Lamb can be F Lamb ... The one who played with Schroeder in 1862 in London may be scarcely the same who played with Diemer a corr in 1947. In the 1860s chess was played mostly in coffee-houses. Childs and teens were not aloed to be there in the midst of alcolhol and cigars, for sure. So, this Lamb had to be at least 20 years old in 1862, which means: born in 1842 or earlier. In 1947 he would be 105 years old or elder ... Ain't it possible the latest game is just a figment - and the name "Lamb-variation" would be a mistake?
