Nimzonick: [DIAGRAM]

   Jul-03-14 Fischer vs Reshevsky, 1961

Nimzonick: This is one of the most interesting games in this match! I think Reshevsky's play was just marvelous. 14...Qxc3! 15.Qxa8 Qa1+ 16.Kd2 Qa5+ 17.c3 Qa2+ 18.Ke1 Ba6 threatening mate and forcing Fischer to sacrifice his queen for the f8 rook.

   Dec-01-10 J Polgar vs Topalov, 2010 (replies)

Nimzonick: This reminds me of the tactic in the famous Spassky-Fischer King's Gambit where Fischer blundered a piece, and Spassky moved a rook to e5, initiating the tactical sequence. Loved the game

   Aug-26-10 Karpov vs Larsen, 1979

Nimzonick: Hmm, Larsen must've been in big time trouble on move 39; that's the only thing I can come up with. Not 29...Qg3 30.Qxd4+ wins a piece. I must say that Karpov's sacrifice took me by surprise.

   Aug-15-10 R Carter vs B Endsley, 1969

Nimzonick: I reach the position after 9.Nf3 all the time in online blitz games, but I've never tried 9...g5. It certainly does look pretty good after that for black; I'll have to remember that

   Aug-14-10 S Guliev vs Tukmakov, 1993 (replies)

Nimzonick: after 35.b6 axb6 36.axb6 Kc6 black will stop the pawn from queening, and has all the winning chances. I completely failed to even consider 35.a6! and so I thought the K&P ending was lost, thus I thought 32.Bxe5 was a huge mistake. I think I learned from experience though.

Jul-17-10 Ponomariov vs Kramnik, 2010 (replies)

Nimzonick: 16.Bxd5! and it took him a full 9 moves before he regained the material (with interest!). Definitely not a "Class C" move, more like a world-class GM move. Great win for Ponomariov.

   Jul-04-10 Reuben Fine (replies)

Nimzonick: Pretty legitimate since he won the AVRO tournament

   May-16-10 I Krush vs V Akobian, 2010 (replies)

Nimzonick: Oh my god so lucky

Feb-24-10 Topalov vs Gelfand, 2010 (replies)

Nimzonick: This is my favorite way of attacking the Petrov!
