Robert De Leon Jr.: Thats for sure <utssb> you would think that any master level player would be able to find the correct set of moves to play towards a win, but suffice it to say that even 8.Qg3+ was appaerntly enough to defeat a class A player.

Robert De Leon Jr.: to <alexmagnus>, So that these ppl can get a life and stop commenting on this page. I'm sorry if i sounded like a raving loon, had a rough time coping with my grandmothers death n looking 4 any reason to blow my lid.

Robert De Leon Jr.: <JonONeill: Move 23 = Alekhine's gun, I think.> It's not, but this would be a reverse Alekhine's Gun. The correct way is setting up the queen behind both rooks as in: Alexander Alekhine vs Aron Nimzowitsch "Under the Gun" (game of the day Jul-11-05) San Remo 1930 ...

Robert De Leon Jr.: <sneaky pete> your comment <If first 8.h4 h6 9.Bxb7 Bd6 10.Qa5 Bxb7? 11.Qf5#. Or if 8... h5 in this line then 11.Qf5+ Kh6 11.d4+ .. wins.> was correct to the point that 8...h5 9.Bxb7 Bd6 10.Qa5 Bxb7?? 11.Qf5+ Kh6 12.d4+ g5 and it's now mate in 7 (13. Qf7 Bh2 ...

Robert De Leon Jr.: <sneaky pete> I'm sorry but I must retract my statement and say that YOU are WRONG interposing with 10...Bf5?? 11. Qxf5+!! Kh4 and it's MATE in ONE with either 12. Nf3# or 12. g3#!!

   Sep-15-05 Fischer vs J Jones, 1964 (replies)

Robert De Leon Jr.: Is it just me or has anyone really looked at J. Jones' HISTORY. This PERSON has to be at least ONE-HUNDRED and FORTY-ONE (141) years of age to have played from 1859-2000 and I highly doubt that. <chessgames.com> any comments...

Robert De Leon Jr.: (mynameisrandy) After white trades off the queen for both rooks black plays 36... Qf7+ with a won game.
