In real life, I'm rated 1396. On the Free Internet Chess Server, where I go by "surreyite", I'm rated about 1650. My favourite player is Yasser Seirawan. It is my lifelong dream to win with a sweet queen sac. It is my lifelong dream to LOSE to a sweet queen sac.

   Oct-10-13 B Kovanova vs M Socko, 2008

eightbyeight: Two queens versus a queen and two rooks? You don't see that every day. I'd like to see some other combinations of two queens versus a queen and material equivalence of a queen (such as queen and three minor pieces versus two queens).

eightbyeight: I propose that for the first tournament game played in 2475, in honour of 1000 years of recorded chess, the players be required to play the Scandinavian defense.

   Jul-31-13 E Delmar vs P Driver, 1908

eightbyeight: Black should be convicted of dangerous Driving causing death (his own).

eightbyeight: Just like the current speech bubble for kibitzing and pencil for annotations, there should be some kind of icon that indicates a game is playable with Guess-the-Move.

   May-17-12 A Granero Roca vs J A Hernando Rodrigo, 2001

eightbyeight: Black wins back a pawn and has good drawing chances with 34 ... Rxb5, when White cannot recapture because of the back rank mate.

eightbyeight: In your most recent addition to your puzzle-of-the-day collection, you have misspelled "April" as "Apirl". Please corrcet this. (Irony intended.)

   Apr-08-12 R Hughes vs A Stolarczyk, 2006 (replies)

eightbyeight: At move 42, White is vulnerable both on the back rank and the long diagonal. He could play 42. Be2 Rc2 43. Re1 (otherwise his rooks are forked) but I can't see anything after that.

   Mar-27-12 G Bishop vs A G Hagen, 2009

eightbyeight: I'm aware the king is exposed. That was sarcasm.
