   Dec-30-17 Grischuk vs Mamedyarov, 2017

ll931110: Apparently Grischuk initially claimed three fold repetition correctly, but the arbiter rejected the claim and the game moved on. At the final position, Grischuk claimed again..

ll931110: http://chess-results.com/tnr317477.... With this result she got the first IM norm. Had she drawn the last round, she would have got a GM norm.

   Sep-11-17 World Cup (2017) (replies)

ll931110: <jphamlore> Too late now, Candidate will be hosted in Berlin, Germany.

   Dec-15-15 Kibitzer's Café (replies)

ll931110: It was quite obvious for me upfront that I need to draw out the figures, and I did remember seeing that code before. Guess I was quite lucky :)

Oct-09-12 Taimanov vs Geller, 1953 (replies)

ll931110: <erniecohen> No, as commented in Bronstein's book: (actually the analysis is given for White's 20th move, but still holds) 21. Qc6 Ra7 22. Qxd6?? Rc7! followed by 23...Be7 wins the Queen.

Oct-04-12 H Ni vs Le Quang Liem, 2012 (replies)

ll931110: It's amazing to see 29...h5?? was a blunder, throwing Black a win. 29...Ba3+!! wins the game in the computer-like fashion (with one under promotion and one Q sacrifice in one variation). In time trouble, no wonder why Liem missed this move.

   Sep-10-12 C Hansen vs G Milos, 1990

ll931110: White's last move can be a good Thursday/Friday puzzle.

   Feb-21-11 Movsesian vs K Piorun, 2010 (replies)

ll931110: I'm still unsure what White responds after 16...Kg6 instead of 16...Kf8?

   Jan-05-11 H Banikas vs D Kosic, 2008 (replies)

ll931110: <YCP> No no, 61... h4 62. Kf6 (remember Black's pawns are going up :D) 61...Rg4+ makes sense. Good Wednesday puzzle.

   Dec-03-10 Y Xu vs A Ushenina, 2006 (replies)

ll931110: I'm not usually kibitzing, but today is an exception :) 24th, White to move Black is threatening 24...Qc2+ 25. Ka1 Qc1+ 26. Rxc1 Rxc1#, so 24. Rc3! Protect the King without loss of time 24... Qc5 (or ...Qb6) otherwise the Black Knight is gone But 24. Rxd7! Win a Knight. ...
