| Bowf: I remember studying this very instructive game when it was published at the time. White must meet 6...h5 with the prophylactic move 7 h3! The advance ...h4 is then met by g4. Where I live (in Scotland) this defensive idea has been successfully employed by some very strong players. Paul |

| Bowf: I think I would have played 9...h6 first, and then 10 Bh4 Ne7. Then the black king has the fine h7 square available if white plays 11 Bxf6. |
