My name is Charles Nnadozie. I live in Lagos, Nigeria. I don't have a rating mainly because I don't take part in tournaments. I am quite a strong player. My favourite players are Paul Murphy,Alexander Alekhine,Mikhail Tal,Anatoly Karpov,Garry Kasparov

Jan-01-25 Mamedyarov vs Carlsen, 2024 (replies)

CaringLuv: 16.......Bxf6 is stronger for Black.. For example, if 17. Red1, dxc4 wins the White Bishop. Or if Rxc2, Bxc2 19. Qxc2 dxc4 also wins the White Bishop. This definitely gives Black an advantage.

   Jul-06-23 Carlsen vs A Erigaisi, 2023

CaringLuv: Black missed the very strong 43......Re7!. lf 43.....Re7! had been played, I'm very sure Carlsen would have resigned immediately as there is no defense against 44.....Re1+ and 45.....Rh1 mate . The only way to prevent mate is for Carlsen to suffer a huge material loss like ...

CaringLuv: Please, I want to ask a question. Must a player who is in serious time trouble continue to record all the moves ? Can he suspend recording the moves and write them down later after the game?

   Aug-27-22 Carlsen vs Duda, 2022

CaringLuv: Better is 42.Qxg6 Kxg6 .43Nxe7+ but White is still lost. After 42 Nxe7 ,Carlsen appears to have overlooked the powerful 42....Nh3+ !! which wins faster for Black. For example, 43. Qxh3? 43....Qc2 mate! So 43. Ke2 Qg2+ 44.Kd3 Qc2+ 45.Kd4 Rd1+ and White is forced to give up his ...

   Aug-27-18 O Udris vs Tal, 1953 (replies)

CaringLuv: Nullifidian, Your analysis is a bit faulty though it's a good try. After 34...Nf6, 35.Qd6, Black has the strong 35...Qc5! And that shatters White's threats.

   Mar-11-17 R Raubitschek vs Capablanca, 1906 (replies)

CaringLuv: Why didn't White play 23.Qf2 instead of sacrificing his Queen with 23.Qxf6? 23....Rdg8. 25.Rf2 Bd5 in very strong for Black but at least least White will have more material for the Queen after exchanging at g2

   Dec-16-16 S Boden vs Morphy, 1858 (replies)

CaringLuv: 23.Qxh4 is better. 23.Re4 was a blunder.

Dec-01-16 Carlsen vs Karjakin, 2016 (replies)

CaringLuv: Chanco, I think your analyses with 49...Bf8 is accurate. I don't think there is a more accurate line. Well done!

Nov-28-16 Carlsen vs Karjakin, 2016 (replies)

CaringLuv: I think Black is planning 22...f6 followed by 23...Kf7 and 24...Re8 neutralizing White's advantage

Nov-21-16 Carlsen vs Karjakin, 2016 (replies)

CaringLuv: 53.Qxa2 Ng4+ 54.Kh3 Qg1 55.Qb2+ Kg6! 56.Bf3 Nf2+ and Black wins. That is why Carlsen resigned.
