I am a club standard player and generally open with d4. I particularly like Rubinstein's games and aspire to be able to play to his standard ('cos that's going to happen!?)

Nov-02-06 Kramnik - Topalov World Championship Match (2006) (replies)

Chesschufty: Sorry-I don't know how to reply properly. acirce: <Kramnik now has the opportunity to duck and dive against opponents.> What makes you think that? You argue that the players have too much control, but now that the title is back in FIDE's hands, it's they who set the ...

Chesschufty: Ankylosing Spondylitis? If I didn't know it was real I would have thought it was made up. Sounds painful but it is clear that Kramnik isn't losing, Anky Spondily or any other way :^) Maybe that's why Topa is so upset.

Chesschufty: Fritz gives it a slight advantage to white now. After h6 it was equal.

Chesschufty: Well done Kramnik a good result for chess I think. Thanks CG.com. This is the first game I've watched live and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Chesschufty: I played in his world record 320+ so I know you're right. He is based in Sandhurst-England and has written many books and presented DVD's-I think he is also a commentator for Chessbase. His world record was recently beaten by Susan Polgar.

Chesschufty: I don't understand 6..c5. I think that Keres should have taken the B on f4. exf4 is very ugly and opens the position up and provides a target for black.

Nov-09-04 Fischer vs Smyslov, 1970 (replies)

Chesschufty: I believe Fischer played the Bird a fair bit in his time. He also knew how to play against it. I saw a game against Larsen which Bobby won easily.
