   Nov-08-06 Veselin Topalov (replies)
Gbness: Topalov has a surprisingly low win percentage. Great player though, despite the fact he really isn't worth a world champion title.
Oct-31-06 Philidor vs NN, 1749 (replies)
Gbness: Does every single one of Philidor's games involve incorporating pawns in the grand scheme of things?
   Oct-31-06 Paul Keres (replies)
Gbness: One of my favorite players, albeit a bit odd on the personality sides. According to Reuben Fine, he was once invited to a nightclub with other masters, but he left early because he needed to "prepare to go to the zoo tomorrow".
Oct-31-06 Polgar vs Kramnik, 1996 (replies)
Gbness: Not a bad game though it went a bit downhill after the opening.
   Oct-31-06 Alexander Alekhine (replies)
Gbness: <Karpova> Actually, despite Alekhine generally coming off as a bit of arrogant in this interview, he's not as much of an ass as one might be led to believe, although his character itself is not something exactly to vouch for.
   Oct-29-06 Alexander Shabalov (replies)
Gbness: Shabalov is a great player. Sweet openings too.
Oct-29-06 Topalov vs Ponomariov, 2005 (replies)
Gbness: <Sneaky> Topalov, a modern Morphy? Heh, I wish. Great player, great game, but Morphy and modern are pretty damn hard to quite combine.
Oct-29-06 Tal vs Smyslov, 1959 (replies)
Gbness: Probably in my top 50 games of all time, though I can't totally agree with 2. d3, which Tal himself says is just to avoid the normal variations.
   Oct-29-06 Anand vs I Sokolov, 1992 (replies)
Gbness: The perfect example of why I admire Anand.
   Oct-29-06 I Nikolic vs G Arsovic, 1989 (replies)
Gbness: You would think that even at that point in time, that no less than 160 moves earlier, on let's say the 110th game when they reached a fairly obvious endgame, that they'd have the sense enough to conclude it there. Apparently not, though...
