GoHabsGo: My thoughts about this: i'm an average player, i just do quizes here. ok it's late. both sides are well developped and i don't see any hanging pieces (only perhaps the rook on c7). White seems to have some territorial advantage, so let's try to squeeze black in. I though ok, ...

GoHabsGo: What if white plays 24. Nxe5 instead of resigning?

   Aug-29-08 Alekhine vs Hoelscher, 1933 (replies)

GoHabsGo: My solution was 16. ♕c4 if ... ♕xc4 17.g6 ♕xc2+ or ♕f1+ only delays the inevitable if ... d6 then 17.♘e5 ♕xe5 18. g6 and mate to follow. Is there any counter to this line?

GoHabsGo: BTW, <GoHabsGo>, what happened to your team this year? they were defeated by the Philadelphia Flyers in the eastern conference semi-finals. In my 'objective' opinion, the flyers got insanely lucky to pull out their 4 wins.

GoHabsGo: <Jimfromprovidence> in your proposition, after 40...Bxg5, what about 41.Rxe6 with the same intentions as in the actual game? if 41...fxe6 42.Qxf6+ Kf8 43.Bxg5 looks grim for black.

   Feb-25-08 Zvjaginsev vs Topalov, 1995 (replies)

GoHabsGo: I enjoyed this game a lot! 32. ... ♗xe3 33. ♖xe3 ♖xf7 does black stand a chance?

   Sep-12-07 J Berger vs J Plachutta, 1866 (replies)

GoHabsGo: I think that black should play 16... O-O-O and he has then an interesting game.

   Mar-06-07 I Farago vs A Planinc, 1979 (replies)

GoHabsGo: Anybody has any comments on this game? is this high level chess or are there blunders? things get complicated from black's 21 ... Rxe4

   Feb-13-07 R Markus vs D Solak, 2006 (replies)

GoHabsGo: Where in the endgame did black go wrong? Black's position after move 43 looked promising.

   Jan-17-07 R Jamieson vs Unzicker, 1976 (replies)

GoHabsGo: alphee, 30.♕h5 ♖f8 31.♕h7+ ♔f7 32.♕g6+ ♔g8 33.♘xf6++
