Greven: I read at Wikipedia, that the word "kibitzing" is a pejorative form of the word "analysis". I'll get a beer and start kibitzing soon. |

Jun-08-08 Carlsen vs Ivanchuk, 2008
|
Greven: Ivanchuk loses the equality with 30...Nh5 ?. and Carlsen is much too big (not on his photo though ;-) for falling in to that trap. It strengthen's Carlsen's ranking, and if repeated it will weaken Ivanchuk's to below nr 15 in the world. |

Greven: My Hiarcs is still in favour of this move, despite forcefeeding som 25 ply Rybka-lines.
At 22 ply it recommends: +0.77 22/1 40. Kh2 Nd3 41. Rb1 Nb4 42. Rdc1 Ke6 43. Kg3 Kd6 44. h5 c5 |

Apr-01-08 The World vs G Timmerman, 2007
|
Greven: Hiarcs 11.2 MP changed path at 20 ply, and went from 40. Rf1 to 40. Kh2 ! Perhaps it's only an intermittent experiment, but if the move stays there past 22 ply, I'd count it in. << 40.Kh2 Nd3 41.Rb1 c5 42.Rb7 d4 43.exd4
cxd4 44.Rd7 Rc6 45.Rxd4 Rc2+ 46.Kg3 Rc3 47.Rb1 Ne5+ 48.Kg2 |
