Feb-18-07 Aronian vs Carlsen, 2007 (replies)

Hanzo Steel: <I like 11...Nd5 here.> seems to give the pawn back

Oct-12-06 Topalov vs Kramnik, 2006 (replies)

Hanzo Steel: So is it decided that the next games will be rapid tiebreaks? Does this mean game 5 will not be played? What did they say in the interview?

Sep-30-06 Kramnik vs Topalov, 2006 (replies)

Hanzo Steel: If the match goes forward, I think this controversy helps chess. The match has already made the front page of nytimes.com.

Sep-23-06 Kramnik vs Topalov, 2006 (replies)

Hanzo Steel: How does white defend against Rg2?

Hanzo Steel: Can anyone offer some books or techniques that are helpful in improving endgame/late middlegame skills? Many thanks in advance...

Jan-19-06 Suttles vs Fischer, 1970 (replies)

Hanzo Steel: Soltis annotates 7. d5!? "The night before this game Suttles worked out a new idea based on trading off bishops via d4." I think it might not be a bad idea. Black's bishop can be bothersome for White in this opening, but 10. e5! might bust it.

Oct-08-05 Anand vs Topalov, 2005 (replies)

Hanzo Steel: That must be why Anand is taking so long. He hates to take the draw, but his other alternatives are inferior. The longer he thinks, the more likely it will be a draw.

Oct-06-05 Topalov vs Leko, 2005 (replies)

Hanzo Steel: Naturally occurring uranium is composed of three major isotopes, 238U, 235U, and 234U, with 238U being the most abundant (99.3% natural abundance). All three isotopes are radioactive, creating radioisotopes, with the most abundant and stable being 238U with a half-life of 4.5 ×

Oct-05-05 Topalov vs Kasimdzhanov, 2005 (replies)

Hanzo Steel: i predict a win for white. i think with f5 topalov looks really good.

   Oct-04-05 J Polgar vs Topalov, 2005 (replies)

Hanzo Steel: Is Topalov in the ballpark of highest tournament rating ever if he keeps up this pace or something close to it?
