Just an amateur, enjoying the game. I speak Hungarian, Romanian and English. Perhaps also a bit of German, although I can't brag with that. My lifetime chess goal is reaching 2000. On any chess-server :) I currently play on ICC and GameKnot.

IdleFellow: It seems that the clip has been removed due to copyright issues. It was a very cool beer commercial (Ursus), featuring a lot of lesser known facts about Romania, like: the second language spoken in Microsoft is romanian, the inventor of insuline was a romanian, baseball's ...

IdleFellow: Just had a good laugh there at anagramgenius.com - did you know Short's name anagrams as "loser thing"? :) Now, his 2712 highest rating contradicts it, of course...thumbs up for his chess career and for what he's doing now for making chess more popular. Including the Guardian ...

IdleFellow: virginmind, I'm also from Romania, and unfortunately, I don't think we have any realistic chances for a medal. Russia, Ukraine, the USA, Armenia, are the big favorites, I guess. BTW, who plays for Romania? Does Nisi play?

IdleFellow: I should've bribed Topalov to open with e4, that way I'd have had at least some chances for a Sicilian. There goes my chessbucks :(

IdleFellow: <percyblakeney> That isn't really fair, because I can't rely on the fact that, if I win, I get X chessbucks...it might be much less than that.

IdleFellow: Based on some of his articles that I've read, he does enjoy chess very much. His love of the game is quite contagious, in fact. There must be another rationale behind his draws.

IdleFellow: Thanks <VishyFan>. All the better for Nisipeanu, then :)

IdleFellow: What I find most disturbing is that, according to a (very) recent survey, romanians still place, even today, Hungary at the top of the "enemy states" list, before Iraq, Ukraine (a country Romania currenty has a territorial dispute with over Snake Island) etc.
