I enjoy playing chess since primary school, and ever since I ve been interested in chess history, theory, trivia and puzzles. I ve played quite a lot during my teens, both team and individual competitions, earning the Candidate Master title in 1998. However, I took a rather long `vacation` from chess from 2000 to 2007. These days I enjoy studying the theory and discussing with knowledgeable chess lovers from all over the world.

My favourite contemporary players are Kramnik, Morozevich, Carlsen and Ivanchuk. Players that I admire the most (for all the different reasons)are Morphy,Capablanka, Alekhine, Botvinnik, Bronstein, Tal, Korchnoi, Fischer, Kasparov and my great countryman Gligoric.

   Dec-09-12 Kramnik vs G Jones, 2012 (replies)

IgyZz: I can`t even imagine Jones beating Kramnik with black pieces. Kramnik loses a game with white once a year and I seriously doubt this could be the one. However, in Adams vs. Kramnik draw is the most probable result.

IgyZz: <kellmano> Thank You!

Dec-03-12 Kramnik vs Carlsen, 2012 (replies)

IgyZz: Stephen Gordon is a GM, and Trent is IM. But they did provide fine commentary the other day.

May-30-12 Anand vs Gelfand, 2012 (replies)

IgyZz: Chess shouldn`t be about excitement in the first place, they aren`t there to entertain us swallowing fire or throwing blades at each other. It should be solid, precise, error free chess that matters.

IgyZz: I couldn`t agree more with the rest of you guys, Natalia`s detailed and spot on commentary made these games so pleasent to follow!

May-15-12 Nakamura vs Shulman, 2012 (replies)

IgyZz: Indeed! I suppose Anand and Gelfand were enough for many of us!

May-15-12 Gelfand vs Anand, 2012 (replies)

IgyZz: I guess we won`t see 1.e4 all match long from Anand, although he surprised Kramnik with it in 2008 match. WGM Pogonina mentioned that Gelfand would probably respond with Petroff, which is almost imposible to penetrate when played by an expert. On the other hand, if Gelfand opts for ...

IgyZz: Wow wonderful pic ,Jen. I am sure only You could tell the difference between the pieces...the best way to trick the opponents!

May-12-12 Gelfand vs Anand, 2012 (replies)

IgyZz: 1.e4 would be a huge surprise , I guess Boris hasn`t played it for 30 years :D

IgyZz: As long as Svidler doesn`t help him on Grunfeld, Vishy shouldn`t have problems :))
