Jun-21-04 NN vs Bronstein, 1961

Jack21221: I have had dreams of chess games before, but usually only when I am half-asleep/half-awake with a high fever. |

May-09-04 Jose Raul Capablanca
|
Jack21221: I haven't read all of the 14 pages of posts here, so I don't know if htis has been brought up... But I just read somewhere that Capablanca had only lost 36 games in his entire life. Here, I find 44 documented Capablanca losses... I guess it is an urban legend. |

May-09-04 Carlsen vs J Werle, 2004
|
Jack21221: There is absolutely no way I would have ever seen 12. Nd5 over the board, other than it would cost me a knight. Is that a part of opening theory, or did Magnus just come up with it? |

Apr-27-04 Gulko vs Adams, 2000
|
Jack21221: I uploaded this game from the book "Starting Out: The Nimzo-Indian" by GM Chris Ward, published by Everyman Chess. It is a good book. According to GM Ward, mate is forced in 5 moves after 39...Qxf3. |

Apr-15-04 Milov vs J Polgar, 2001
|
Jack21221: What a premature draw. I am uploading a game right now, Gulko vs Adams, that is a continuation of this game, where Black won an excellent game. |

Apr-01-04 S Halkias vs K Haznedaroglu, 2001
|
Jack21221: Came across this game while watching FM Johannesson vs GM Thorhallsson from the 2004 Icelandic Championships, where it followed this game up to 9. Rg1. GM Thorhallsson responded with 9...Ba3. The ending to this game is nice... Either way black tries recapturing the bishop, it runs |

Mar-11-04 A Steinkuehler vs Blackburne, 1863

Jack21221: Pretty checkmate, and the puzzle wasn't too difficult either. |
