   May-29-09 A I Bykhovsky vs D Oltean, 1990 (replies)

Jole: I got it, although it took me a couple of minutes to work out what to do in response to 28 f5 or f6 oddly enough (the latter has 29.Re6...Qf7 (only move), 30. Re8 (faster than Rxe5, which was the instinctive move for me) with mate to follow

Oct-08-08 Anand - Kramnik World Championship Match (2008) (replies)

Jole: Wow, one has to be really careful about using the word "troll" on this site. I wasn't saying that Petrosianic was being a troll - I was noting that (as well as his decent posts) he was having a trollish go at Woody Wood Pusher which I found amusing. Anyway, given that the most amusing ...

   Oct-08-08 Vladimir Kramnik (replies)

Jole: Cactus: I doubt that he's prophesying anything so much as he's just found something that amuses him.

   Oct-02-08 Garry Kasparov (replies)

Jole: Whiteshark: nah, its more like: Whoever gets there first gets to set up a police state. Good luck for anyone else. =P

Jole: I heard that there was a post deleted here - what's with that?

Sep-13-08 Topalov vs Ivanchuk, 2008 (replies)

Jole: Ignore my Rf7 suggestion - white just sacrifices the exchange to win (posting at 3am equals BAD)

Sep-06-08 Grand Slam Chess Final (2008) (replies)

Jole: one can dream...of 30+ round tournaments...

Sep-06-08 Ivanchuk vs Topalov, 2008 (replies)

Jole: ulhumbrus: the g4 idea looks like the way forward for white - i'd forgotten about that idea and was wondering how else white could have a position that was potentially significantly better?

   Aug-29-08 Tal Memorial (2008) (replies)

Jole: Thankyou, I like <ILikeFruits> too! His poetry, although awful, is amusing and something I'd much rather read than the usual: Kramnik rules. No, Kramnik is a boring player who always draws - he should be called Drawmnik (ha, i'm so original!). Anand's going to kick his ass. ...

   Aug-28-08 Korchnoi vs I Cheparinov, 2008 (replies)

Jole: To be in time trouble at move 27 is to be Korchnoi.
