   Jul-11-23 P Haba vs Hracek, 2004

King Street: Black found a beautiful combination on move 31 that is worthy of being a puzzle of the day.

Feb-23-23 U Capo Vidal vs Isaiah McIntosh, 2022

King Street: White has a difficult win after 11...Nxg3 with 12.Bxh7+ Kh8 13.Nxf7+ Rxf7 14.hg (threatening 15. Bg6+) 14...Bg5. The following is not Stockfish's main line but I like 15.Qh5 Bh6 16.Qxf7 Kxh7 17.Rxh6+ Kxh6 18.0-0-0.

   Oct-25-22 R Brieger vs Suttles, 1966

King Street: 44...Ba6 was a mistake. 44...Rd7 45. b7 Rxb7 46. Bc7 Rxc7 47. dxc7 Ba6 and Black wins.

   Oct-21-22 I Krush vs J Yu, 2022 (replies)

King Street: On move 46, Krush played Kg1, an illegal move. The arbiter then adjusted the clock, which left her with 2 seconds and no increment.

   Oct-19-21 Clyde Nakamura (replies)

King Street: Clyde Nakamura passed away on October 11, 2021. He inspired many players in Hawaii and online to learn about his unique style and original openings. He was one of the strongest players in Hawaii since the 1970's. He directed many local tournaments in the early years. He stopped ...

Sep-26-21 Carlsen vs Duda, 2021 (replies)

King Street: In looking at the position after 11.Kf1, I thought Black should try to get a N or B on d5 asap, but N moves allow 12.Bb5+ and 11...b6 allows 12.Be4. So I would consider moves such as 11...a6, 11...Qc7 or 11...Bd6 to prepare this plan.

   Dec-22-20 Levenfish vs V Lyublinsky, 1949

King Street: Black is probably lost by the 27th move. He might be OK if he could keep the position blocked with Ne5 but unfortunately the f-pawn is pinned, so he would get clobbered with 27...Ne5 28. Nxe5+ dxe5 29. Qxf6+ Kg8 30. Nf5 Bxf5 31. exf5 Qf7 32. Qxf7+ Kxf7 33. d6+
