I learned the game of chess in third grade, however I didn't play it seriously until the fourth grade.

Although I am held to the belief that Fischer is the greatest chess player ever, I am also influenced by the games of Petrosian, Nimzowitch, and Rubensteins rook endgames.

I was the Maple Point Elementary School Chess Club Champion, reigning for 2 years before leaving for junior high.

A spot of tea and a quiet afternoon is what this old man would prefer every now and then.

"A passed pawn is a bandit, who should be kept under lock and key"

   Jul-27-15 O Hackner vs T Slade, 2015 (replies)

Lil Swine: a little reminiscent of the famous Capablanca- Botvinnik game don't you think?

   Apr-16-15 Tal vs Z Szymczak, 1974 (replies)

Lil Swine: Having come across this game by chance on this day, 4-16-15, I would ask that the next chess lover, whomever they be that happens to stumble upon this game like your truly, kibitz a message in reply.

   Nov-22-14 Nunn vs M Hebden, 1979 (replies)

Lil Swine: <morfishine> what about Bronstein and Keres?

   Oct-05-14 A L'Ami vs Vachier-Lagrave, 2014 (replies)

Lil Swine: 36.Kh4 g5+ 37.Kxg5 Qf5+ 38. Kh4 Qh5# also works

Sep-02-14 Nakamura vs Caruana, 2014 (replies)

Lil Swine: im laughing at that smug look on Caruana's face

Aug-13-14 Kramnik vs Topalov, 2014 (replies)

Lil Swine: Topalovs probably just gonna go home and raise hell over how so many of Kramniks moves are also suggested by Fritz and allege cheating. lol

   Aug-12-14 Tromso Olympiad (2014) (replies)

Lil Swine: disappointing loss for Carlsen today against ivan. seems like hes just playing whatever to prove that he can get away with it.

   Jul-29-14 J Horton vs Y Zhou, 2014 (replies)

Lil Swine: unfortunately, the pun is slightly off. The Chinese pronounce the name Zhou as "zow" rather than "zoo". A nice game though on the other hand.

   May-25-14 Shimanov vs V S Gujrathi, 2011 (replies)

Lil Swine: <morfishine> im going with <mrknightly> on that one. your pun is literally translated as: "to arrive,to the slave, blunder." more correctly would be: "adveni, spectavi, erravi."

   Apr-30-14 Hikaru Nakamura (replies)

Lil Swine: Has anyone else noticed the typo on Nakamura's bio? For standard chess, it lists him as #97 in the world with a rating of 2772.
