LuckyFish: I played 7..Qd6 OTB recently and got crushed by the g4, h4 pawnroller. Good to know that it's 'best', and that the probable source of my loss was underestimating those damn pawns. I found 7..Qd6 here in chessgames, in one of Alekhine's games as black. He drew. |

LuckyFish: I've read an account somewhere, of Nimzovich losing to someone he should have beaten easily, jumping up on the board, kicking the pieces off the table, and screaming, "Why must I lose to this idiot?" Can anyone verify this? |

LuckyFish: Also, I erred in thinking that black could exchange B and N for R and P. If 15...Bxf2 16 Rxf2 and black cannot take the rook without losing his queen to Ne6+. He could take both rooks though, if he doesn't get his knight trapped or his king mated. |
