I live in London and play for Dulwich in the London league Division 2. My grade is around 2250. I like dynamic, aggressive chess and my favourite players are Alekhine and Kasparov. I don't play in tournaments, though I will annually visit the London Chess Classic to see the world's best play.

MOLLOYCHESS: <jphamlore> <Ivanchuk got exactly what he deserved for playing such a feckless Italian Game as White. Why has this become fashionable. There are far worse things than a Berlin Ruy Lopez.> He had a slight advantage then self destructed in the endgame. The opening is ...

MOLLOYCHESS: <parmetd: Molloychess what you are doing is misandry. No one here has even slightly hinted at misgongyby showing ourdistatse for an incompetent commentator.> Well this is what Pawn Dillinger said: <Re: Shahade: I agree. I guess it's called "diversity." Or tokenism. Or

MOLLOYCHESS: Opening had little to do with the loss. He had a clear advantage well after the opening.

MOLLOYCHESS: To those saying chess is not much of a spectator sport: I have wonderful memories of the absorbing days I spent spectating at the London Chess Classic and Candidates tournament. However, it is true that the lay person wouldn't get much out of it. The closest chess gets to ...

MOLLOYCHESS: Does anyone have a link to the video of the first day's footage? Chess24 only have day 2 I think.

Nov-17-14 Carlsen vs Anand, 2014 (replies)

MOLLOYCHESS: Is it just in the context of the internet that everyone must hold extreme opinions. "I lost every bit of respect for Carlsen today". Really? Every bit? Not a bit hysterical considering some R and N versus R endings have been lost. How about nuance? Like, "I thought it was a bit ...

Jun-10-14 Carlsen vs Grischuk, 2014 (replies)

MOLLOYCHESS: Just my perception but I think Carlsen scores much better with e4. He goes through phases where he plays d4 more, such as now, and he just doesn't seem to score as heavy. I wonder whether the stats would confirm this perception?

Apr-27-14 Nakamura vs Carlsen, 2014 (replies)

MOLLOYCHESS: I think this strategy is the best chance to cause Carlsen problems. I talked about this in a (completely ignored) earlier post that he sometimes as problems when the opponent goes for pawn rollers- it's less controllable because there's always a lot of potential in such ...

MOLLOYCHESS: Thought I'd made a couple of interesting posts that might have stimulated some interesting conversation. Perhaps I'm on everyone's ignore list...
