Malfurion: I actually got the first three moves and the winning idea, though I didn't calculate it out as far as the game went..seemed like it was winning though. My first Sunday victory - whoo!

Feb-25-09 M Umansky vs The World, 2009 (replies)

Malfurion: dxc4 is mate in 62 for black.

   Dec-25-08 M Bain vs G A Koelsche, 1968 (replies)

Malfurion: I was just commenting on how its sad that so many things have undeservedly become "poor taste"...and the eggnog helped fuel the fire.. :) My post wasn't meant at anyone in particular, btw.

   Dec-22-08 C Blocker vs Dzindzichashvili, 1984 (replies)

Malfurion: White breaks the cardinal rule of not trading all your pieces off when you're down material..quite doubtful the rooks can gain enough activity given the pawn structures to compensate.

Malfurion: your analysis = engine number crunching. (rolls eyes)

Malfurion: Black didn't move his light square bishop the whole game and did nothing but let white steamroll him. A nice knight maneuver by white, but awful play by black, it seems. He moved his knight three times in the opening, neglecting developing to any decent squares (13. Ng6 instead of

   Jan-07-08 Tal vs I Radulov, 1980 (replies)

Malfurion: I have no idea whats going on in this game... :(

   Jan-05-08 J Gonzales vs D A Zimbeck, 2001 (replies)

Malfurion: nothing too instructive here, except how to not play as black in this line..

Jan-05-08 Ahues vs Sultan Khan, 1930 (replies)

Malfurion: There's really no answer for the impending Qh1+ Ke2 Qxf2# without sac'ing the queen for the rook, which is losing. If white plays the immediate Ke2, Qh2 serves the same purpose of Qxf2. If Ke2 Qh2 Kf1, you transpose back to the Qh1 line..
