We all have favourite chess players and I chose GM Shakhriyar Mamedyarov as my hero. I read that he and his family are really nice and have brilliant minds. Shakhriyar's pleasant demeanour and modesty make him a great role model for the chess youth and I hope he will become World Number 1 and World Champion.

MamedyarovFan: Too late <parisattack> to be offering your krug rose! We are all pouting because you did not provide it at the instant Shak reached 2800! We assumed you had drank it all with <fairyPromotion> and others here :-) I might have guessed that not even the empty bottle ...

MamedyarovFan: Another fine <parisattack> witty word of wisdom ,<shak-er>, matcing your <shak-and-awe>! Since you're inviting both Shak and me for Krug Rose, it should be sufficient that the sum oh his and my ratings exceed 2800. I think we ae there... no wait, I have to ...

MamedyarovFan: As pointed out at Shak's page Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, Shak does not like 10... Rc8, 11...a6 and 12...c5 (saying he'd prefer 10... Qb6). He thinks he had some advantage after 13.d5 and a winning position after 14.e5.

MamedyarovFan: Hi <AuN1>, <Peligroso Patzer> and <GBKnight>: Regarding your interesting comments about GM Mamedyerov's win against GM Giri, note that Shak wrote that he does not consider 10... Rc8, 11...a6 and ...12...c5 to be a good idea at all, and that in fact it led to ...

MamedyarovFan: <polarmis>: Your article http://whychess.org/en/node/855 is excellent ... I love chess stories that add some cultural/geographical notes or human stories to the main chess theme (similar to what Frederic at chessbase.com and Peter at chessvibes.com can do). The photo of ...
