Mojodomo: Beautiful final position to unwrap today-- Merry Christmas everyone!

   Jul-02-14 Hort vs I Radulov, 1974 (replies)

Mojodomo: I thought Black might be able to escape by exchanging a knight for two pawns with 16. ...Nf6, but White can just barrel on through: 15.Bxh7+ Kh8 16.Ng5 Nf6 17.Qh3 [not exf6 Qxf6 18.Qh3 Qh6 etc] ... g6 [or anything else] 18.Bxg6+ Nh7 19.Qxh7# Thanks <agb2002> ...

   Mar-19-14 G Beisteiner vs J L Calle Fuentes, 2003 (replies)

Mojodomo: My first thought was to continue the theme from Monday and divert the f8 rook with something like <21. Ng6>, R moves followed by <22. Ne7+>, bringing white's rook into play on f7 as well. But the attack initiated with <21. Nxh6+> makes much better use of that ...

   Feb-14-14 S Djuric vs A Navacchia, 1998 (replies)

Mojodomo: Looking at <M.Hassan>'s line I got greedy and thought I could win the rook, but got myself in hot water: 24.Nxc5 Bxc5 25.Bxc5 Qxc5 26.b4 axb4 27.axb4 Qd4 28.b5! Bxg2 29.<Rd1> Qg4 30.Rxd7 Bh3+ And the end is near for White. Got too greedy-- still ...

   Jan-21-14 A Blackmar vs L S Atkinson, 1884 (replies)

Mojodomo: <solskytz>: I had the same problem and tried what <TheTamale> suggested. pgn4web, the default viewer, worked with the java update, while the fancier viewers were blocked. Thanks Tamale!

   Jul-08-13 Z Markhot vs S Arslanagic, 1997 (replies)

Mojodomo: Congrats on the book launch, Once!

   Mar-06-13 D Rivera vs Fischer, 1962 (replies)

Mojodomo: <morfishine>'s pointing to Fischer vs C Powell, 1964 is fantastic-- a blitz style game that would usually have spelled victory for Fischer. Nice find! Also: if you have a certain 4 star general in mind, this is not the Powell you're looking for...

   Oct-05-12 A Saidy vs C Brasket, 1972 (replies)

Mojodomo: Seems that 32... Qb8 is the blunder that gives White this "difficult" position. Is there anything better than 32... Qa8? Looks like Black sac'd the pawn counting on the attack line Bf3+, Qa6 working out. Alas.

   Oct-01-12 M Chommyyev vs T L Petrosian, 2012 (replies)

Mojodomo: Several kibitzers have included snatching up the h2 pawn as part of the winning line, and Chommyyev waits to resign until after Petrosian plucks it up. Why is it so important? Clearly it's a free pawn and adds to the advantage, but is there anything more going on there?

   Jul-05-12 R Ziatdinov vs Mikhalevski, 2005

Mojodomo: Thanks for the follow-up <FSR>! Good to know.
